Comments: 01400 characters remaining As stated, the excessive abuse of anything could just a venue for larger problems to display themselves. I could probably safely guess that anything could ultimately become addictive to a damaged psychology, especially if a person has easy access to it. Whether this person is 'blaming it on video games' or not, this story doesn't really make that clarification. I'm sure there was something deeper that led Alexander to abuse video games that the author failed to mention. So funny I forgot to laugh. Although I consider it a privilege to attend, I know that college can be a tough time in life. I had more than one term where I didn't go to class or do my work, and I where flunked out as well, just like this Alexander boy. It wasn't until I took on a few minimum wage jobs to pay my own way that I realized the value of an education, went back to school, and earned my degree. As for games being "addictive," even the AMA has balked on that one. As far as I can see, the only people who are really interested in classifying games as medically addictive are the ones who want to ban them altogether (including the anti-game activist Psychology department at the University of Iowa), and the ones who want to charge $14K a month to treat listless rich kids. Responsible working people like myself should have no use for either. -- TJDeci (10/07/2009, 3:48 PM ) Report Comment Report item as: (required) Inappropriate language Threatening language Advertising/spam Other Additional Comments: (optional) 500 characters limit What about sports addiction?More World Of Warcraft Tier 10 Armor Sets Unveiled 09zmchuan1028 reports: Blizzard has revealed three more sets of the powerful Tier 10 armor that will be available to players in the upcoming patch of World of Warcraft.wow gold Will your character battle through Icecrown Citadel in style or will he look like a giant Christmas ornament? cheap wow gold The new sets revealed are for the Mage, Warlock, and Rogue classes. The Death Knight, Druid, Warrior, and Hunter sets were previewed at the beginning of the month, so the only ones still under wraps are the Paladin, Shaman, and Priest. The Warlock armor looks like the front-runner so far. The Tier 10-equipped Rogue apparently wears a sack on his head. wow gold Tier 10 armor will be available once Patch 3.3 goes live. The patch, currently on the test server, also adds a new dungeon called the Icecrown Citadel. wow gold The Catch-Up I loved it in theatres and still do. Already bought it on Blu-Ray. wow gold I can't really catch up on gaming as I'm so far behind on video games. I try all of them a bit, but not enough to get into them. On the other hand, I have been doing a decent amount of card games again. World of Warcraft Trading Card Game is a very addictive game and I quit for a bit but now I've got a group of friends that are into it and we have been playing quite a bit down at Game On. Every Sunday, Game On hosts a tournament for the WOW TCG (World of Warcraft Trading Card Game, if you didn't already pick that up) and there has been some intense competition for the title of 'Battleground Master.' You see, each week that you play you score 'points' by playing certain cards, winning and other things. The player with the most points at the end of the month gets named the Battleground Master, but ALSO gets a $30 prize on top of all the prizes that are won on a weekly basis. It's a lot of fun and has been taking up my Sunday Afternoons, but its good to have a little break from work. wow power leveling Overall, I've just been so busy with all kinds of stuff that I have forgotten to take a few minutes and blog about it all. I hope to change all that, so stay tuned, comment, ask questions and all that jazz as I struggle through updating this blog as often as humanly possible. cheap wow gold and if you want to learn of the new special everyday -- become a fan and follow our daily deals. wow gold I took a break from movies while getting Spotlight Studios up and running but I've went back with a vengeance this week by watching Surrogates, Where the Wild Things Are, and Transformers 2. Surrogates was a good sci-fi action flick with the usual Bruce Willis awesomeness and I would recommend it.wow gold Where the Wild Things Are is not a movie to watch while you are tired -- I fell asleep. So, my review isn't exactly my review -- it's more what I heard about from my wife afterwards. She loved it and thought the symbolism and all that junk was great and very well done.wow gold I was obviously just tired. Transformers 2 was reviewed by myself in theatres and is now releasing on DVD and Blu-Ray. The original review can be found At this point and will converge the two blogs together so I am only writing one blog instead of three which I was trying to do at one point about a month ago. Needless to say, I quit that pretty quick. buy wow gold So, to catch up. The new Spotlight Studios is open and running. Our teacher, Nora Lobjanidze, is settling in to McCook and enjoying the people. We've had a good three weeks of classes behind us now and things are starting to settle in. We are both very thankful for all the people that have signed up and started taking classes with us. Divine Productions is implementing a Quick Takes photography day once per month. We started this past Monday (October 19th) with a fall theme and it was lots of fun although a few people were unable to keep thier appointments due to sickness. We've got our next one scheduled for November 15th and 16th with a Christmas theme -- BUT we can also do our standard backgrounds if you prefer to not do a holiday theme.wow gold Divine Productions is also gearing up for a busy holiday season doing video transfers and photo slideshows. Game On just turned the corner on 2 full years of being in business and it's been a wild ride. Tanner and myself are getting ready for some pretty spectacular specials for Christmas by doing a daily special on Facebook. Our page is at I have yet to see any kind of research on this. I know people that spend a vast majority of their lives involved in sports. This need to fit in with the Jocks, playing sports video game (not online), playing sports related games at work (paper football), attend sports events while not engaged in them physically, switching from sport to sport, following players careers (stalking), fantasy sports leagues, and there are more and more of these types of situations that have been overlooked. It would also appear to me that those athletes who do not go onto college stay in their hometown wasting their lives away drinking and reminiscing about the "glory days". I can think of 3 people that I know personally that are "addicted" to sports. Why is this being overlooked???? sliqdude (10/07/2009, 10:00 AM ) Report Comment Report item as: (required) Inappropriate language Threatening language Advertising/spam Other Additional Comments: (optional) 500 characters limit See All comments
